At STAR, some of the best surgical oncologists in Hyderabad are elevating Cancer Care. Led by Dr. Vipin Goel, our experienced surgical oncology team performs over 250 complex cancer surgeries annually, utilizing the latest approaches like robotic surgery and other minimally invasive techniques.

In addition to minimally invasive surgery, we also specialise in high risk cases not attempted elsewhere, difficult oral and breast reconstructions, and surgeries where surrounding organ structures are involved.

We utilise Sentinel Lymph Node mapping, thoracoscopic lung surgery, and intraoperative imaging to precisely identify and selectively remove cancerous tissue while preserving quality of life.

For patients at elevated risk, we provide customized risk-reducing surgeries including mastectomies and reconstructions for BRCA+ patients. We aim to prevent cancers before they require invasive treatment whenever possible.

STAR Tumor Board is made up of a 11 member team, with specialists across oncology, radiology, pathology and nuclear medicine. Depending on where the tumor exists, the concerned specialist, gastro (liver cancer), neuro (brain tumor), pulmonologist (lung tumor) etc, is also invited. With each member, bringing on board their expertise, we discuss each case and suggest the best treatment plan for every patient; this may be radiational, medical or surgical.
